Of Prayer.

Prayer...this past week I've been inspired to pray. God tells us, " Whatever you ask in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be yours. " That is a real promise...from a real God. And yet how seldom do I tap into that greatness. I've journaled about it. I've thought. And yes, I've prayed.

In pagan religions a big part of it is the time spent in prayer and worship of their stone gods. When in Asia, I was struck by how much time and effort the Buddhist people put into bowing to their god. Now, I know that's wrong, the worship of other gods, but yet, we serve the true God... and do we spend hours kneeling, literally kneeling, before God almighty? Do we?

Sometimes I just have to sit back and remind myself again what a big God we serve. We tend to put Him in a box. To bring him down to our level. When what we really need to do is worship His greatness, with hands lifted high.

And so, we pray. We humbly bring our requests before God.
And, like a child, we should have faith that He will answer in His will. Like a child we can fall before Him. In His will we can present our requests and believe that He hears. He is a big God, but He is also a loving, personal, relational God who loves to hear from His children. So, I challenge you today: Pray...take it seriously, and take time to bask in His presence!

That's all. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Beginning

So, here it is. My blog. It's been something I've wanted to do...but could never actually sit down and do. I want this blog to be more than just what I've been doing...but what GOD has been doing in me on this journey called life. The title pretty much states the purpose of this blog. To write about what God has inspired me with...how He is working...how he is guiding me.

Each day...I want to be focused on Him. Not on what I want to do...or what I plan to do. But, on what He planned for me to do.

And not only what He has for me here...but His plans for me on the other side of world...
Whatever they may be. To be His...to be used by Him.
